If you purchased a Minut M3 sensor from Amazon US, your order includes a 12-month Starter Plan covering one property. This article explains what's included, how to activate your plan using your Amazon Order ID, and what to do when your first year is up.

Activates when you set up your first unit in the app.
The subscription is tied to your Minut account, not the sensor. If you replace or swap the sensor, your plan carries over. The plan covers one rental unit; if you need to monitor additional properties, you can add them at minut.com/pricing.
Activate your plan
Your 12-month Starter Plan is activated using your Amazon Order ID. This is the 17-digit number found in your Amazon order confirmation email, or in the Orders section of your Amazon account.

Find your Amazon Order ID
Open your Amazon order confirmation email or go to Amazon → Account → Orders and find your Minut order. Your Order ID is the 17-digit number beginning with a three-digit prefix followed by hyphens (e.g. 123-4567890-1234567).

Enter your Order ID in the app
Open the Minut app → follow the setup prompts → when asked how you purchased, select Amazon → enter your Amazon Order ID. Your 12-month Starter Plan credit will be applied to your account.
Your plan credit will appear under Account → Plan, Billing & Payments in the web app
Create your first rental unit
Tap Properties → + and set up your first rental unit. Your Starter Plan activates automatically when the first unit is created — this is when your 12 months begins.
Your 12 months starts when you create your first rental unit; not when you purchased on Amazon
Each Amazon Order ID can only be used once. If you have purchased multiple M3 sensors from Amazon, each order includes its own 12-month Starter Plan credit; enter each Order ID separately to apply each credit to your account.
Install the sensor
Once your plan is activated and your rental unit is created, install the sensor via the Minut app. Charge the sensor via USB-C before heading to the property.

Renewal and upgrading
Renewal | After 12 months, the Starter Plan renews automatically at $5/month (billed annually as $60/year) per rental unit. You will be notified before the renewal charge. |
Billing method | Renewal is billed to the payment method you add to your Minut account — not to your Amazon account. Add a payment method in the web app at web.minut.com → Account → Plan, Billing & Payments before your 12 months ends. |
Upgrading | You can upgrade to Standard or Pro at any time from the web app. If you upgrade during your Amazon plan period, you will be charged the difference. |
Adding more properties | The Amazon plan covers one property only. To add additional rental units, you would need to upgrade to the Standard or Pro plan. |
Cancelling | You can cancel at any time from the web app. The plan remains active until the end of your 12-month period. |
Add a payment method before your plan expires. To avoid any interruption to monitoring, add a credit or debit card to your Minut account before your 12-month Amazon plan ends. Go to web.minut.com → Account → Plan, Billing & Payments → Payment method.
Frequently asked questions
I can’t find the option to enter my Amazon Order ID in the app
During initial setup, the app asks how you purchased your sensor. Select Amazon to be prompted for your Order ID. If you have already completed setup without entering it, contact hello@minut.com with your Amazon Order ID and account email.
I entered my Order ID but the credit hasn’t appeared
Credits appear under Account → Plan, Billing & Payments in the web app at web.minut.com. It may take a few minutes to apply. If it still hasn’t appeared after 15 minutes, contact hello@minut.com with your Amazon Order ID.
Can I use this plan for more than one property?
The 12-month Starter Plan credit from Amazon covers one rental unit. To monitor additional properties, purchase additional sensors from Amazon (each comes with its own 12-month credit) or add properties directly from minut.com/pricing and pay the standard/ pro rate.
Does the Amazon Starter Plan qualify for Minut’s free Airbnb offer?
The Airbnb offer (3 months free when connecting a new Airbnb account) applies to Standard and Pro plans only.
What happens if I return the sensor to Amazon?
If you return the sensor within Amazon’s return window, contact hello@minut.com with your Amazon Order ID and account email to have any applied plan credit reversed. Do not contact Amazon for subscription-related issues; these are managed directly by Minut.
Will my plan renew through Amazon?
No. Renewal after the first 12 months is billed directly by Minut to the payment method on your Minut account; not through Amazon. Add a payment method at web.minut.com before your plan expires to avoid any interruption.
