How to order a subscription and a sensor

A step-by-step guide to buying from the Minut online store.

Every Minut setup requires two things: a sensor (hardware) and a subscription plan. Both are purchased together from the Minut online store. This guide walks you through the full ordering process, from choosing your plan to completing checkout.

Are you an Airbnb host? Before ordering, visit the Airbnb host offer page to claim 3 months free on Standard or Pro. The offer is applied at the store and can't be added after purchase.

Before you start

You'll need a Minut account before you can complete your order. If you don't have one yet, you can create one for free at web.minut.com or during the checkout flow.

Having your account ready before ordering means your subscription activates immediately and is linked to the right account.

Credit card requirement. Your credit card must be issued in the same country as your country of residence. Cards issued abroad may be declined at checkout.

What are you ordering?

The store flow differs slightly depending on whether you're a new customer or an existing one adding more sensors.

New Customer

First sensor & subscription: You'll choose a plan, select your sensor quantity, and create or sign in to your account at checkout.

Subscription purchased on a Minut account can only be activated by that Minut account. Purchases of subscriptions have to be made by the Minut account that will activate them.

Existing customer

Adding sensors & subscriptions to an existing account

Sign in to the store first, then whether you want to add a subscription and/or a device.

For Minut account with multiple organisation members, we recommend the purchase to be done by the Minut account owner of that organisation - any subscription purchased under member/ admin accounts will not be connected to the organisation.

Adding subscription only to an existing account

If you already have the hardware and need the subscription, it is possible for you to purchase a subscription on the online store or directly through the app by creating a rental unit.

Step-by-step: placing your order

  1. Go to the Minut store

    Visit store.minut.com. If you already have a Minut account, sign in using the button in the top right corner as this ensures your order is linked to the correct account.

  2. Choose your Plan

    Select whether you want a Starter, Standard or Pro plan.

  3. Select your sensor and quantity

    Choose the M3 sensor. If you're monitoring multiple rooms or properties, select the number of sensors you need. Remember, you can have several sensors in one listing but please note that you need one subscription plan per listing. If you’re setting up the additional sensor in a different listing from the existing one you need to subscribe to a new plan.

  4. Add optional hardware

    If your installation requires permanent power or a cellular connection (useful for properties with unreliable Wi-Fi), you can add a wired mounting kit or cellular gateway to your order at this stage.

  5. Enter your shipping address

    Minut ships to the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, and a number of additional countries. Free shipping is available within the US, UK, and EU. For an up-to-date list of shipping destinations, check the store at checkout or the Shipping time and tracking information article.

  6. Complete Payment

    Enter your payment details. Your card must be issued in the same country as your shipping address. Once payment is confirmed, you'll receive an order confirmation by email. A second email with tracking information will follow once your order is dispatched from the warehouse.

Delivery time

3–7 working days from dispatch, depending on your location

Find/ Track your order

You can access the information about your order from our webapp in Orders.

Once the order leaves our warehouse, you receive an email confirmation with the tracking number. That same tracking number also appears in the app with the link to our shipping provider.

Delayed/ Missing order

Missing or undelivered orders must be reported to our support team within 30 days of the estimated delivery date. Claims submitted after this window cannot be investigated or reimbursed. If your order hasn't arrived, email hello@minut.com with your Minut account email and order number as soon as possible.

Returns and refunds

You can return your Minut sensor within 30 days of delivery for a full product refund, provided it was purchased directly from store.minut.com and is returned in its original condition and packaging.

Annual plan charges are refundable if the sensor is returned. Other subscription charges are non-refundable

Returns for sensors purchased outside minut.com are handled by the vendor. Minut's return policy does not apply

Common questions

My card was declined at checkout. What should I do?

Can you please verify that you are using a credit card and not a debit, prepaid or virtual card? If you are using a credit card, did you pass the 3DSecure Check? Also, Minut requires the card and the delivery address to be in the same country. Try a card issued locally. Contact hello@minut.com if you continue to have trouble.

I already have a sensor. Can I buy a subscription without buying new hardware?

Yes. You can purchase a subscription on its own from the online store, or activate a rental unit directly in the app without going through the store — the subscription charge applies at the point of activation. Go to the Properties tab in the app, tap + to create a rental unit, and follow the prompts.

Can I return my sensor if I change my mind?

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, provided it was purchased from store.minut.com and is returned in its original condition and packaging. The full sensor cost is refunded. To start a return, email hello@minut.com with your order number and account email address.

I ordered under the wrong Minut account. Can this be fixed?

Contact hello@minut.com as soon as possible with your order number, the account email used at checkout, and the correct account email. The sooner you flag this, the more options the support team has to help. If the sensor has already been activated on the wrong account, options become more limited.

I have not received an email confirmation for my purchase. What should I do?

The order might not have gone through. Or there might have been a typo in the email address when you ordered. Contact hello@minut.com as soon as possible with your full name, your email address and your shipping address.
