Email notifications

Receive Minut alerts by email - alongside or instead of push notifications on your phone.

Written by Ipti Niskala

Email notifications send the same alerts as push notifications - noise events, sensor issues, presence detection, climate alerts- to the email address on your Minut account. Each team member enables and configures email notifications independently for their own account.

When email notifications are useful

  • Shared team inbox

Route alerts to a shared inbox so any team member on duty can see and respond- not just the person whose phone received the push.

  • Office or reception teams

For team members working at a desk who prefer email over phone notifications- or who may not have the mobile app installed.

  • Audit trail

Email notifications create a searchable record of every alert - useful for documenting incidents or reviewing noise event history for a specific property.

  • Non-urgent alerts

Turn off push for certain alert types - like climate or presence - and receive them by email only, so you're informed without being interrupted.

Enable email notifications

Mobile app

  1. Tap your profile icon (top left of the More tab) → tap your name → tap Notifications

  2. Toggle Email notifications on. Then enable or disable email per notification category — noise, presence, tasks, and so on

Web app

  1. Click your name or organisation in the top left → click Notifications

  2. Toggle email on for each category where you want email delivery

Email and push are independent. You can have email on and push off for the same alert type - or both on, or both off. Configure them separately per category to match how your team works.

Emails go to your account email address. Notifications are sent to the email address you used to register your Minut account. To change your email address, go to Account → Profile in the web app.
