Ring integration connects your Ring doorbell cameras to Minut, so you can monitor your property and share camera access with guests, all without leaving the app.

Before you can use the features below, you'll need to set up the Ring integration and link it to a Ring location.

Once a Ring location is linked to a unit, you'll see an Outdoor cameras section when you open that property in the Minut app.

From here you can:

Minut logs all Ring events for linked units, storing a snapshot from the doorbell with each event when available. You can view:

Tap any event to open the event details. You'll see the associated video clip when available; guests see the event entry and snapshot but cannot view recorded footage.

Group-arrival events picked up from Ring motion carry the originating Ring event details, so you'll see a View footage button on those too — this applies to new events as well as ones already in your event log.

If a snapshot or clip isn't available right away, Minut retries fetching it for a while to catch late-arriving footage. If it never becomes available, the event still appears in the log without media.

Guests staying at your property can access Ring cameras through the Minut Guest app. Their access is scoped to their current stay and expires once the stay ends.

From the Guest app, guests can:

Guests can see events in the log, with a snapshot when available, but cannot view recorded footage.

If 10 or more human-motion events occur within a 1-hour window on the same doorbell, Minut creates a Frequent motion event and notifies you according to your settings. Once a Frequent motion event fires for a property, further Frequent motion alerts are suppressed there until the 1-hour window rolls forward.

For properties without an indoor Minut device, Ring human-motion events can act as an outdoor fallback signal for motion and presence-detection automation rules — helping flag unexpected presence, guest arrival, or a guest no-show, when configured. Only motion that Ring classifies as human is surfaced to Minut as a motion event; other motion is stored but doesn't trigger notifications or automation.

The entering_limit setting on a property's Monitoring presets controls how many people Ring needs to detect entering together before it's treated as a group arrival for your motion automation rules. For example, set it to 2 if you only want automation to run when two or more people enter together. Setting it to 0 skips this check entirely for that property. Motion classified as "passing by" or "unknown" never counts toward entering_limit.
