General
Which plan do I need to use integrations?
It depends on the type of integration:
Airbnb Standard and Pro - not available on Starter.
PMS integrations Pro - not available on Starter and Standard.
Smart locks, thermostats, and cameras Standard and Pro - not available on Starter.
Zapier Pro: requires Pro plan.
Minut API: Enterprise.
See minut.com/pricing for a full plan comparison.
Where do I connect integrations?
All integrations are connected via the web app only at web.minut.com → Integrations in the left-hand menu. The mobile app does not have an integrations management screen.
How many integrations can I connect at the same time?
As many PMS as you need. You cannot connect two accounts of the same PMS to one Minut account. If you connect a second account of the same PMS, the previous one will be disconnected.
Smart lock, thermostat, and camera integrations can be connected alongside any PMS.
My integration disconnected. What do I do?
Disconnections are usually caused by an expired authentication token. Go to web.minut.com → Integrations, find the disconnected integration, and click Reconnect. You will be prompted to log back into your third-party account. All your settings and property mappings are preserved. If automated guest messaging stopped during the disconnection, messages will not be sent retroactively for that period.
PMS and Booking platforms
What does connecting a PMS actually do?
Connecting a PMS syncs your booking schedule with Minut, enabling three things: automated guest messaging when noise is detected, Presence Detection alerts based on when a stay is or isn't scheduled, and Call Assist / Autocall using the guest's phone number from the booking. Without a PMS or OTA connection, these features require manually adding stays to each unit.
Does Minut work with Booking.com or Vrbo?
Minut does not have a direct integration with Booking.com or Vrbo. However, many PMS platforms that Minut integrates with, such as Hostaway, Lodgify, Guesty, and Hospitable, support Booking.com and Vrbo. Connecting one of these PMS platforms brings in stays from all platforms it manages.
See Integrations overview for the full PMS list.
Can I connect Airbnb and a PMS at the same time?
Yes you can have your PMS or OTA connected at the time. However, your rental unit cannot be linked to both your PMS and OTA at the same time. Choose one: you can have multiple rental units, some linked to your PMS and others to your Aibrnb account. If your PMS already syncs your Airbnb listings, use your PMS as the single source of stay data and let it manage the Airbnb sync on its end.
I connected my PMS but stays are not appearing in Minut. What should I check?
Check property mapping first: go to Integrations → your PMS → Settings and confirm each property in your PMS is mapped to the correct rental unit in Minut. Unmapped properties do not sync stays.
Minut only imports upcoming and current stays, not historical bookings.
After reconnecting or newly mapping a property, allow a few minutes for stays to pull through. If stays are still not appearing, contact hello@minut.com with the name of the property and the check-in date of a stay that should be appearing.
What guest information does Minut import from the PMS?
Minut imports the guest's first name, phone number, and stay dates. The phone number is used to send automated noise alert messages and to enable Call Assist and Autocall. No other personal data is stored.
Does connecting Airbnb import guest phone numbers?
Yes. The Airbnb integration imports guest phone numbers, which means Call Assist and Autocall work with Airbnb-only setups; a PMS is not required. You can choose how noise alert messages are delivered via the Airbnb inbox, SMS, or both from Integrations → Airbnb → Settings.
Smart Locks and Access
What do smart lock integrations do?
Smart lock integrations allow Minut to automatically generate and share unique access codes with guests before check-in, and let guests lock and unlock the property through the Minut Guest App. Codes are tied to the stay dates and expire at checkout. Supported locks include Nuki, August, Salto, igloohome, Kwikset, 33Lock, Akiles, Keyincode, and others.
See Integrations overview for the full list.
Do I need a PMS to use smart lock integrations?
A booking integration (PMS or Airbnb) is required for access code generation to be fully automated, Minut uses the stay dates to determine when codes are valid. Without a booking integration, you can still connect a smart lock but will need to manage code creation and distribution manually.
What is the Minut Guest App?
The Minut Guest App is a lightweight web-based app where guests can access their door code, lock and unlock the property, and view property information you share with them. Guests receive a link to the app automatically when a smart lock integration is active. No download is required.
Thermostats and Energy
What do thermostat integrations do?
Thermostat integrationx, including Google Nest, tado°, and ecobee, allow Minut to automatically adjust the temperature based on your booking schedule. Between stays, Minut sets the thermostat to an energy-saving mode. Before a new stay begins, it restores the temperature to the settings you define. This reduces energy costs without manual management.
Can I set different temperatures for check-in and between stays?
Yes. Each thermostat integration allows you to set a temperature for when a stay is active and a separate energy-saving setting for vacancy periods. Configuration is done in the thermostat integration settings in the web app.
Zapier and API
What can I do with the Zapier integration?
Zapier lets you connect Minut events, such as noise alerts, motion detection, or stay activity, to thousands of other apps. Common uses include sending noise alerts to Slack, triggering smart home actions when a guest arrives, or logging events to a Google Sheet. Zapier is available on the Pro plan.
See Zapier integration.
Who can use the Minut API?
The Minut API is available to Enterprise customers only. It is a REST-based HTTP API that allows custom integrations with your own applications or PMS.
To request access, email hello@minut.com with a description of how you plan to use it.
See Use the Minut API.
My PMS is not on the integration list. What are my options?
If your PMS is not directly listed, you have two options:
Zapier (Pro plan): many PMS platforms have Zapier support. You can use Zapier to connect your PMS stay data to Minut without a direct integration.
Minut API (Enterprise): if you have developer resources, the API allows custom integration with any platform.
Troubleshooting
Guest messages stopped sending after my integration disconnected
Reconnect the integration at web.minut.com → Integrations → Reconnect. Once reconnected, automated messaging will resume for upcoming stays. Messages are not sent retroactively for the period the integration was disconnected. After reconnecting, check that guest alert methods are still toggled on in your Noise Preset settings.
I accidentally connected the wrong PMS account
Go to Integrations → your PMS → Disconnect, then reconnect using the correct account credentials. Note that if you have already mapped properties, you will need to remap them after reconnecting with the correct account.
Presence detection alerts are not firing even though a stay is synced
Check that Presence detection is enabled in Settings → Presence detection and that the specific alert type is toggled on. Also confirm the sensor is online and positioned where it can reliably detect full-body movement a corner-mounted or furniture-obstructed sensor may miss motion.
See Presence detection.
