What is Google Smart Home?
Google Smart Home is a platform that lets you extend the functionality of the Google Assistant to control connected devices. Google Smart Home works as a virtual assistant and let users control their smart home devices through voice commands.
You can link your Minut account* to Google Smart Home, and use the Google Assistant to arm/disarm the alarm in different languages.
What languages are supported?
Google Smart Home supports the following languages:
(Right now, there's a bug when entering the security code to arm Minut. It doesn't work in other languages than English. We are waiting for a fix from Google.)

Which commands can I give through Google Assistant?
After a successful account linking the user can give the following commands in any language mentioned in the list above:
- "Hey Google, arm my home!"
- "Hey Google, disarm my home!"
- "Hey Google, is my home armed?"
How do I link my Minut account to Google Smart Home?
To connect you account to Google Smart Home you need to install the Google Home app from the app store.
Google has not yet updated to our new brand. So if you cannot find "Minut Smart Home Alarm", try "Point Smart Home Alarm".
To set up Google Assistant with Minut, follow these steps:
- Open the Google Home app
- Press Add > setup device
- Choose “Have something already set up”
- Add “Minut Smart Home Alarm”
Extended use with Google Assistant
To use Minut with the Google Assistant you need a device with Google Assistant integrated such as a Google Home, Google Home Mini, or a Google Home Max. Several Android phones also support Google Assistant from the start. On iOS, you can download the Google Assistant app.
Launch the Google Assistant app and say “Talk to My Home”. Next, tap “Yes” to connect your Minut account with Google Assistant.
You will be prompted by a login screen for Minut. Enter your username (typically your email) and your password, then log in.
You need to allow Google to access the Minut app. Tap “Accept” to complete the connection.
Voice commands available
“Hey Google, tell My Home to turn on the alarm”
“Ok Google, ask My Home what is the temperature?”
“Ok Google, ask My Home what is the humidity?”
- Google Assistant is only able to query one Minut. If you have several devices, Google will ask the first Minut in your device list. The list is sorted alphabetically.
- For security reasons, you won’t be able to turn off the alarm.
- Google Assistant is only available in English and Swedish.
