Why does the new lens look different?

The top of the device consists of a thin, hard piece of plastic which also acts as the button. When someone moves in front of the device, heat radiation passes through the lens to a sensor that sits just beneath. The more radiation that passes through the higher the reading. The new lens is thinner, therefore also a more transparent white colour. It significantly increases the amount of light that is able to travel through to the sensor, making the sensor much more sensitive, responsive and capable of monitoring a larger area of your home.

If you have a Minut, version, 2 but don’t have the new lens, send an email to hello@minut.com, and we'll send out a new one for you!
